Nothing. Lumen has no user accounts, no signups, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data from your device.
To work, Lumen needs access to a few iOS features. All of this happens locally on your iPhone — nothing is sent to a server.
Lumen uses your camera to detect the object you must find to stop your alarm. Camera access is requested the first time you open the camera screen and you can revoke it anytime in Settings → Lumen → Camera.
Photos taken inside Lumen are processed using Apple's on-device Vision framework. No photo ever leaves your device. No cloud upload, no remote server, no model training.
When you complete a challenge, Lumen saves the photo to a "Lumen" album in your iPhone's Photos app so you can look back on your wins. We only ever write photos to your library — we do not read or upload anything from it. You can delete the "Lumen" album anytime in the Photos app.
Lumen schedules alarms via Apple's AlarmKit framework and uses local notifications for alarm triggers, daily reminders, and the rate-the-app prompt. All notifications are local and scheduled on your device. No push notifications are sent from a server.
If you subscribe to Lumen Pro, the purchase is handled by Apple through the App Store. Lumen receives confirmation from StoreKit that the purchase succeeded — that's it. We do not see your payment details, name, email, Apple ID, or any other personal information. Apple's Privacy Policy covers how Apple handles your subscription: apple.com/legal/privacy.
Lumen may ask you to rate the app via Apple's standard rating prompt. The prompt is shown by iOS, not by Lumen, and is rate-limited by Apple. We do not see your rating or any feedback you provide.
We do not share any data with anyone, because we do not collect any data. There is no data to share.
Lumen is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children. If you are under 13, you may use Lumen with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and the new version will replace this one at the same URL. Significant changes will also be noted in an in-app update.
